FOX MILL CLASS OF 2020 CAR PARADE
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who can participate in the parade?
Any graduating high school senior who lives in the Fox Mill neighborhood, went to elementary school at Fox Mill, or otherwise is affiliated with this neighborhood. Whether you went to South Lakes, TJ, Chantilly, Herndon, private or home school – if you’re part of the class of 2020 and the Fox Mill community, this parade is for you!

I’m a class of 2020 graduate, what do I need to do to participate?
All you need is a car to ride in. It’s best if someone, such as a parent or sibling, drives so you can wave at your fans. Feel free to go all out with spirit wear and decorations to represent your school and/or your future plans. Include your name prominently, so we know who we are cheering for!

Please fill out this form so we know how many to expect.

Where is the parade taking place and when should I be there?
If you are a senior riding in the parade, meet no later than 6:45 p.m. at the Pinecrest Pool parking lot where cars will line up to start the parade. The parade will travel throughout the neighborhood and end at Fox Mill Elementary School. The parade route can be found on this web page.

How can the rest of the community participate?
All neighbors are encouraged to come out and cheer for Fox Mill’s class of 2020 as they drive by. Bring decorations, posters, noise makers and your enthusiasm. The graduates have earned a celebration, and this socially-distanced parade is a fun way to honor and recognize their achievements.

Why a car parade?
Given we are still under strong recommendations in Fairfax County to maintain safe distancing due to COVID-19, a car parade allows the community to safely celebrate from their front yards or spaced along the streets without crowding while each graduate will be in their own vehicle.

How can you help?
Please feel free to print and share the parade flyer to the left. Click on the image to download or print. The more neighbors who are aware and can safely and social-distance themselves along the parade route, the better the celebration will be for the graduates!
