NEED SOME DIRECTION?

WHERE IS "SIMPLY ENHANCE" TAPED?

Show guests have the option of taping their episode at their established facility or at the Herndon Community Television (HCTV) studio located in the Town of Herndon. The address is 730 Elden Street, Herndon, VA 20170. HCTV studio is located on the basement level of the building; however, there is a conference room available for taping on the second level. Final decision on taping location will be determined between the guest and Tess Rollins.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO TAPE AN EPISODE?

Typically we advise to allow yourself an hour from start to finish. This allows for 15 minutes for set up and mic check prior to taping, 23-25 minutes for the taped episode, and 10-15 minutes to clean up and gather additional information for the HCTV editing team.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

It is advised to wear colors other than black or white tops. Solid vibrant colors are usually best; however, printed or striped fabrics may also be fine. Also due to determination of the best mics used for taping (HCTV has a few options), it is also recommended that guests wear two pieces (top and bottom) in the event that lapel mics are used, so that the power pack may be discreetly clipped around the back of the waist.

WHERE CAN I WATCH MY EPISODE?

HCTV programming may be watched on Cox Communications Channel 23, Verizon FIOS Channel 28, and livestreamed on HCTV.org. Simply Enhance airs on Mondays at 10:00AM, Wednesdays at 8:30PM, and Thursdays at 3:30PM. Additionally episodes are uploaded at Video On Demand at HCTV, on the Simply Enhance website, and coming soon to the Simply Enhance YouTube channel. Please be advised that the editing process typically takes two weeks from the taping date. You will be notified via e-mail with a link to your episode once it has been edited and added to the HCTV programming.

ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW DURING TAPING?

Each episode is 30 minutes which includes opening credits, 23-25 minutes of the content with the guest, and closing credits.

You may discuss your business service or product or your community event; however, we refrain from discussing pricing or specific trademarked items during the taping. We will include any contact information (name, phone, e-mail , website, social media handles, event dates, etc.) as part of the closing credits.
