#SIMPLYTHISORTHAT HAS LAUNCHED!

Updated: May 13, 2020

During the COVID-19 Stay-at-Home Order imposed where I live, I wanted to share with others what I was doing for "at-home creative therapy." Many of my family, friends, and followers know how I love to papercraft. Papercrafting gives me the a chance to design and also serves as a type of therapy for me; however, for creative engagement, I have come up with an idea to create "with" others. I am launched a social media campaign with the hashtag #simplythisorthat, and this is how it works:

For four days I post a photo on social media of two creative products. Family, friends and followers may vote in the comments "this" or "that" to indicate which product I am to use in my creative projects. On Day 5 I post a collage photo of the products which received the most votes, so that the followers are advised. Also on Day 5, I post a project appropriate for a beginner papercrafter or rubberstamper. Day 6 the project is appropriate for a casual papercrafter (one who may have more tools and/or experience. And Day 7 the project is geared towards the avid papercrafter who may have several tools and been papercrafting for years. To assist with some tips and close-up for the projects, I also create and post a YouTube video of the three projects.

So let's see how #simplythisorthat Week 1 went ...

Engagement was low; however, inquiries were high. Curiosity was definitely high; therefore, I am excited to see how this campaign grows. Below are products of which received the highest votes, as well as group photos and individual of the three projects.

The products selected through social media voting for the Week 1 were the Make A Splash Photopolymer Stamp Set, See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Blends, and Noble Peacock Rhinestones. The projects from Week 1 were a #simplestamping card, a box perfect for treats and a mini scrapbook. I have shared some close-ups and tips in the video below.

I truly enjoyed this first week of the #simplythisorthat campaign and look forward to creating and sharing more products and projects in the future!
